FOX + DOG

The quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog!

That’s exactly what happened one sunny morning.
Flicker the fox was racing down a narrow forest path when he nearly tripped over Dozer the dog, who was napping right in the middle of the trail.
“Dozer, move!” Flicker called.
Dozer didn’t budge.
With no time to stop, Flicker gathered his paws and leapt right over him. As Flicker landed, something caught his eye — paw prints pressed into the dirt, leading into the forest.
“Dozer,” Flicker said, nudging him, “did you see these?”
Dozer yawned. “See what?”
Flicker pointed his nose at them.
“These pawprints. And look—there are two kinds.”
Some prints were far apart, like someone was running.
Others were close together, as if someone walked slowly or paused often.
Dozer finally opened one eye.
“So… which way are we going?”
Flicker grinned.
