At Storytivity Books, we believe learning should feel playful, meaningful and child-led.
Our books and resources blend storytelling, choice and hands-on activities to create interactive experiences that help children build essential skills such as reading, handwriting, problem-solving and creativity without it ever feeling like extra schoolwork. Each Storytivity book invites children to take part, make decisions and engage creatively, turning learning into something they want to do.
Storytivity Books began with a lifelong love of making things.
As a child, I didn’t just enjoy reading books, I loved creating them. Folding paper, drawing covers, binding pages together and inventing stories of my own. I was especially fascinated by choose-your-own-path adventures, where the story changed depending on the choices you made. The idea that a reader could shape what happened next felt like magic.
Years later, as a parent, that same sense of wonder returned but this time with a purpose.
My son needed a little extra support with reading and writing at home and I wanted to help him in a way that felt encouraging rather than overwhelming. I searched for something playful, creative and engaging—something that didn’t feel like more schoolwork at the end of a long day.
When I couldn’t find anything that fit quite right, I began creating it myself.
That’s where Storytivity Books began.
A Growing Vision
Over time, both my child and the project grew. As my own skills developed and family life continued alongside the work, Storytivity evolved from a single idea into a broader, long-term vision.
That vision blends storytelling, choice and hands-on activity—sometimes quietly in the background, sometimes more visibly on the page. The books currently available focus on handwriting practice, forming part of the foundations of the Storytivity approach.
Other story-driven and activity-rich ideas exist behind the scenes and continue to take shape as time, skills and space allow. Storytivity reflects a real, ongoing journey: thoughtful, child-centred and created at a pace that fits around family life.
That evolving vision shapes how Storytivity books are designed and most importantly, how children experience them.
